Hey team,

If your swimmer wants to participate in Champs, today is the last day to declare! If you're not sure if he or she is eligible, just go ahead and try to declare--the system will let you know.

Ages 10 and under should declare for the July 22 event, and ages 11 and up should declare for the July 23 event.

We will be hosting a pasta dinner at the clubhouse for our Champs swimmers on July 21st. RSVP here by Wednesday evening.

Your swimmers should arrive with their events, heats, and lanes written on their arms. Please also write your swimmer's last name and first initial on their shoulder blade so they can be quickly identified. Pack water, healthy snacks, towels, caps, and goggles to keep with them on the deck.

Swimmers will stay on the pool deck, and parents can watch the meet from above in the stands. The SwimRVA facility is indoor and does not have a lot of space for spectating (considering the number of people participating), but the event will be livestreamed here for anyone who wants to watch from home. 

Parents are not allowed on the deck. Monitors will be stationed at the doors to enforce this. You will drop off your swimmer on the bottom level by the doors and then head upstairs to the stands (unless you are volunteering on deck). Our volunteers on the deck may give out their cell numbers so you can be in contact with them about your child.
