Volunteer Requirements
Parent volunteers are the key to our team's success each year. Volunteering at swim meets allows parents to to participate directly in their child's events, and having volunteers to run meets is required for us to maintain accreditation within the league. Go to the Scheduled Events tab and click the "Job Signup" button to sign up for volunteer spots.
Each family must provide a representative to work half of each meet, both home and away. You must earn a certain number of volunteer credits by the end of the season to avoid a fee. You earn one credit for volunteering for one half of a meet. Strokes and turns volunteers will earn double the credits. Certain positions will be structured for full meet support. Credits assigned to each volunteer position are based on the expected number of hours and do not reflect the actual number of hours worked. The actual shift may be shorter or longer.
If your child swims in Champs, a parent is required to volunteer during that Champs session. This is in addition to volunteer requirements during the regular season.
Volunteer credits can also be earned by becoming a swim meet official. Please consider attending one of the Chesterfield Aquatics League (CAL) officials’ meetings and becoming an official. It is a great way to have a poolside view of all swimmers! Please email if you are interested.

All volunteers are required to sign up on this site. If you are unable to fulfill a volunteer shift, another family member or friend may volunteer in your place. Please let the swim team volunteer coordinators know when this occurs. Email is the best form of communication ([email protected]). We understand that scheduling conflicts occur; if you cannot fulfill your selected role, it is your responsibility to find a substitute.
